Sponsoring Irrigation Research & Extension Committee events and activities

The Irrigation Research and Extension Committee relies heavily on a range of funding sources including direct membership fees and project funding for specific projects. We have also for a long time sought and received industry and community funding through sponsorship for individual events or activities. More recently we have developed a sponsorship package so that people or companies wishing to invest in IREC and partner with us had the opportunity to see the full range of activities and decide to invest in a single event or as a corporate partner across all of our activities.

The IREC and our partnership with the Irrigated Cropping Forum (ICF) now has the ability to promote and distribute information to over 4500 irrigators and key decision makers across the four valleys Lachlan – Northern Victoria. We are constantly looing for more ways to partner with industry and continue to deliver information and research to the irrigation industry.

If you are interested in developing a partnership with the IREC and promoting your business to the wider irrigation industry, we would encourage you to download our sponsorship package and talk with our staff about your needs and how we can best work with you.

Our specific areas of operation are:

  • Managing research projects to assist with the continual improvement of the irrigation industry.
  • Extension of best practice information and research project outcomes through the Farmers Newsletter publication.
  • Demonstration of best practice irrigation and rewarding growers for their efforts through the Irrigated Farm Competition for Broadacre and Horticultural farms.
  • Undertaking industry information transfer activities through field days and hosting GRDC Updates.
  • Identifying the research needs of the industry and seeking funding to undertake research to address these needs through our various committees.
